Baekhwasan is a small mountain located right next to downtown Taean. It is one of the few places in town where you can get the panoramic view of the downtown area, and if you arrive in time, you'll also be able to watch the sun slowly set into the yellow sea. It takes roughly around an hour to hike up the mountain and once you reach the top, the view is breathtaking.

Nice pics. Blue skies are seldom seen in my part of the world. To stay on topic with the previous posts, did you happen to go to Taean beach and see any reminants of the large oil spill back in 12/07? Much of the sludge floated up to Daecheon Beach (mud festival site).

There's hardly anything anything to indicate that the oil spill happened 7 years ago other than the pictures along the trail showing the process of the cleanup.
